Why we won't pay N5000 promised unemployed Nigerians - Buhari

If the teeming unemployed Nigerian youths still nurse the expectation of getting paid the N5000 monthly largesse promised them during the electioneering campaign of the All Progressives Congress, APC, they had better perish the thought.

This is because President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to have revealed that he’s not too inclined to give out the N5,000 monthly stipend anymore.

The President said he has a different priority other than paying the N5,000 to the vulnerable and unemployed Nigerians.

Buhari was quoted to have made the remark while speaking  in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.

He stated his preference to use the money to develop mining, agriculture and create employment for people to earn the money.

“This largesse N5,000 for the unemployed, I have got a slightly different priority. I would rather do the infrastructure, the school and correct them and empower agriculture, mining so that every able bodied person can go and get work instead of giving 5,000, N5,000 to those who don’t work," Buhari said.
