JUST-IN: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used In Adelabu's Sister, Sons' Abduction

Two days after the rescue of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister to the immediate-past Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, the Oyo State Government on Monday pulled down the building where the kidnap victims were held.

The demolished three-bedroom bungalow was located in the Lako Community, Aiyegun area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Our correspond reports that gunmen had on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, abducted the victims while the former minister's sister was on her way to drop her twin sons in school at Elewura, Challenge area of the state capital.

Personnel of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, under the watch of operatives of the Nigeria Police Force carried out the demolition on Monday morning.

The measure was part of the strategy by the state government to deter house owners against yielding their property as hideouts to kidnappers and other criminally-minded persons.

According to the officials, the action underscores Oyo State Government's commitment to combating insecurity and dismantling criminal networks operating within the State.
