A Sokoto State High Court has found a Nigerien and two Nigerians guilty of terrorism and arms proliferation charges, sentencing them accordingly to death on all counts.
A Nigerien, Yusuf Muhammad, who is popularly known as Sallau was among the three convicts to die by hanging.
The other two convicts are Jabbi Alhaji Yalle; and Kabiru Muhammad. The trio were arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) Counter-Terrorism Uniton June 13, 2025, over alleged involvement in cross-border crimes, arms trafficking and terrorism.
In his judgment, Justice Bello found the three defendants guilty on all charges against them and sentenced them to death by hanging.
In addition, the court also ordered that all money and other proceeds recovered from them be forfeited to the Federal Government.
