NIPR Names US-based Abubakar As Int'l Liaison For WPRF Abuja 2026

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has named United States-based Nigerian, AbdulRasheed Abubakar, as its international representative and liaison for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) holding in Abuja.

NIPR's President and Board member of Global Alliance of Public Relations, Hon. Dr. Ike Neliaku, who disclosed this, said the appointment underscores Abubakar’s growing influence in global communications and strategic stakeholder engagement in Africa and globally. 

Abubakar is expected in the new role to lead international outreach efforts, particularly within the United States, fostering partnerships, sponsorships, and participation from distinguished global leaders, policymakers, academics, and communication professionals.

The gathering is expected to hold from November 15–21, 2026, in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.

Abubakar, a respected public relations strategist and corporate communications expert, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CogniRep Strategies Holding Co., and CABS World TV.

He is widely recognised among +600 Diaspora Icons by Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), an initiative that celebrates and amplifies the achievements of Nigerians globally.

Abubakar holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. 

According to NIPR, the appointment reflects confidence in Abubakar's ability to strengthen international collaborations and elevate Nigeria’s reputation within the global communications ecosystem.
