The meeting which held in Abuja had Alli's deputy governorship candidate in the 2027 general election, Hon. Soji Adedeji in attendance.
Also present at the meeting was Hon. Remi Oseni, the senatorial candidate of the APC for Oyo South.
RhemDy News reports that Arapaja, who was until recently a strong political ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, rejected the PDP alliance with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), a platform through which Makinde is pursuing his presidential ambition.
Makinde has also ensured the emergence of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as the APM governorship candidate as his preferred successor in 2027.
Although the details of the Abuja meeting were not immediately known as at the time of this report, political observers believe it might not be unconnected with the 2027 elections and the rumoured planned defection of Arapaja into the APC.
The former deputy governor of Oyo State only few days ago described Governor Makinde as a serial betrayer even as his supporters have restated their loyalty to him, while also urging him to lead them into the political party of his choice.
