The Lagos State Police Command, as part of the ongoing Operation KO S’AYE, has announced the arrest of 150 suspects and recovered motorcycles, firearms and other exhibits at criminal hideouts across the State.
The Command said the arrest and recoveries were carried out in sustained aggressive clearance operations against criminal hideouts in line with the Command’s commitment to ensuring that there was no safe haven for criminals.
In a statement on Monday, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Lagos State Command, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said while acting on credible intelligence on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at about 5:45 a.m., a joint team of operatives drawn from different formations of the Command carried out a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts at Boolar, Okofilling Bus Stop, Igando, and other identified black spots within the Area M, Idimu axis.
Adebisi said the operation was aimed at flushing out hoodlums and other criminal elements terrorising the area.
According to the PPRO, a total of 150 suspects were arrested while exhibits recovered include 100 unregistered motorcycles, 54 mobile phones, 1 double-barrel gun, 2 single-barrel guns, and 1 locally made double-barrel short gun.
The rest include 2 military camouflage uniforms, assorted charms, 6 generators suspected to have been stolen, substances suspected to be Indian-hemp and various quantities of illicit drugs.
Police said all the suspects were currently in its custody, while investigations remained ongoing to determine their individual culpability.
"Those found to have committed criminal offences will be charged to court accordingly," the PPRO said.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication to duty.
CP Fatai reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to the continued implementation of Operation KO S’AYE, stressing that the operation will be sustained across the State to deny criminals any safe haven and ensure the safety and security of all residents.
He further urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information that will assist the Police in identifying criminal hideouts, apprehending offenders, and enhancing public safety across Lagos State.
