Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi, the immediate elder brother to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is dead.
The late Prince Ogunwusi reported died after a brief illness.
In an emotional statement reacting to the passing of Adetunji, on Sunday, the revered monarch described the demise of his elder brother as a shock.
The Ooni said the deceased would be greatly missed by the family.
“Rest in Peace Adetunji Ogunwusi. Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi, my dearest brother, the news of your passing came as a shock to me and I am greatly pained.
"Tunji, your passing is a great loss and we will tremendously miss you. May your soul rest in peace,” the Ooni said.
The royal father also extended his condolences to the entire Ogunwusi royal family of Ile-Ife, he prayed for strength and comfort for them during the grieving period.
