PFIPC: 'Controversial DG Never Lived In Oyo Palace', Late Alaafin's Son Clarifies

As controversies continued to trail the background of Prince Adeniyi Mathew Adeyemi, the self-styled director general of the 'nonexistent' Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC),  the first son of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Prince Tunde Adeyemi, has refuted the claim that he once lived in the Oyo Palace.

In a telephone interview he granted Nigerian Tribune, Prince Adeyemi maintained that the embattled 'director general has no link with his late Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi.

According to Prince Adeyemi, his younger brother who is the member representing Oyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, only confirmed that the controversial DG once visited the palace either in 2017 or 2018 without having access to see the  late revered monarch.

“The Mathew man never grew up or stayed in the palace. I have just called Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, my junior brother, and was told that the man once visited the palace sometime in 2017/2018 to see Baba, but he did not get access to Baba," Prince Adeyemi told Nigerian Tribune.
