The University of Ibadan has announced the appointment of Professor Olamakinde Olapegba at the 14th Vice Chancellor of Nigeria's premier University.
Professor Olapegba's emergence followed the ratification of his appointment by the Governing Council of the 78-year-old institution.
Prior to this new role, Professor Olapegba had served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the University.
Olapegba, who succeeds the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, is expected to lead the institution’s academic, research and administrative affairs during his term.
