Veteran journalist and the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Alabi, has passed on at the age of 75.
According to family sources, the renowned author and public relations expert died on Saturday morning after a brief illness.
Oloye Alabi was born on October 27, 1950, in Ibadan, Oyo State and attended the Seventh-day Adventist Primary School, Oke-Foko.
He chose journalism as his career and earned himself a good recognition as a journalist, public relations consultant, syndicated columnist, author and motivational speaker.
The deceased was also a highly resourced author on Yoruba history, Ibadan traditions and national issues.
He held the prestigious title of Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland, making him one of the senior chieftaincy titles on the civil line of the Olubadan succession system.
Details of his burial has not been disclosed as fhe family sources said that would be announced in due course.
