Osun Poll: Police Unveil Security Complaint Phone Numbers

Ahead of tomorrow, Saturday August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Nigeria Police have released the phone numbers that members of the public can use to report security concerns.

The phone contacts were unveiled on Friday through the verified Facebook page of the police Nigeria Police Force.

“As the Nigeria Police Force continues preparations for the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election, members of the public are encouraged to use the designated contacts to report emergencies, security concerns and other election-related incidents”, the public notice read.

According to the notice, the Deputy Inspector General on charge of election, DIG Election can be reached via 08139235585 while the Commissioner of Police in charge of election, CP Election can be contacted through 08134277587.

Members of the public are also directed to contact the Control Room via 08108756818 as the police also announced 08057000001, 08057000002 and 08057000003 for the Complaint Response Unit.

Noting that the voters’ voice matters, the Police urged the people to report promptly and stay peaceful in helping to keep Osun State safe.

RhemDy News reports that the high-stake Osun State governorship election has witnessed tension associated with violence, arrests and allegations of harassment and intimidation by the frontline Accord and All Progressives Congress (APC).

Stakeholders believe that except electorate are guaranteed of their safety, some voters are likely going to stay away from the polling units which may lower the credibility of the exercise and the question the fidelity of the off-season tension-soaked election.
