Police Arrest 10 Suspects With Human Parts In 2 Oyo Communities

Not fewer than ten (10,) persons have been apprehended by the operatives of the Oyo State Police Command for their alleged involvement in sale of human parts.

The suspects were picked up in Saki and Iseyin with exhibits believed to be heart and skull from human body recovered from them.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Oyo State Command, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said in a statement on Saturday in Ibadan, that aside from the suspected human organs, operatives also recovered charms from the suspects during a series of intelligence-led raids in Iseyin and Saki communities of the state.

DSP Olayinka disclosed that the arrests followed several months of surveillance and monitoring by operatives of the Command's Monitoring Unit.

He named the suspects as 42-year-old Adam Ibrahim; Nasiru Kabiru, 22; Tijani Wasiu, 54; Abiola Nasiru, 45 and Amusa Gbadamosi, 57.

The rest include Raheem Taofeek, 46; Jimoh Muritala, 35; Suleiman Busari, 47; Ganiyu Nurudeen, 36; and 52-year-old Usman Abdullahi.
