The Allied Peoples Movement's (APM) candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, Bimbo Adekanmbi, has assured that his campaign will be directed by ideas, practical solutions and genuine understanding of the needs and aspirations of the people of the State.
Adekanmbi gave the assurance in a post to his X account as campaign for the governorship and State Houses of Assembly commenced on Wednesday in line with the timeline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Governor Seyi Makinde-backed governorship candidate also called on the people of Oyo State to share their views on their expectations of the state they anticipate from the next administration.
"What kind of Oyo State do you want to see next? What should be sustained, improved, and changed?
"Today marks an important milestone as our official campaign season commences, in line with the INEC calendar. But beyond the campaign, this is a conversation about the future of our state, and it must begin with you.
"The progress of every developed state is built over time, by sustaining what works, improving what can be better, and keeping government responsive to the people it serves.
"I am committed to a campaign grounded in ideas, facts, practical solutions, and a genuine understanding of the needs and aspirations of our people," Adekanmbi said.
He disclosed that the campaign website will soon be launched where his manifesto outlining his vision and practical plans for the next phase of Oyo State’s development will be made public.
Ahead of the unveiling, however, he urged the electorate to first make their inputs detailing their expectations. "I want to hear from you. Share your thoughts below," the APM's candidate wrote.
